2020 WINTER Session - Modern Dental Assisting
March 7, 2020 - June 6, 2020
8:00 am - 5:00 pm
This is the first of two sessions offered in 2020 of the Modern Dental Assisting course to become a DA1 (entry-level dental assistant). This course meets all day on Saturday (8AM-5PM) for 12 Saturdays. Class is held from March 7th, 2020 through June 6th, 2020. *Please note that we skip class on Saturday April 11th, 2020 (Easter holiday) and also on Saturday May 23rd, 2020 (Memorial Day weekend). YOU MUST BE ABLE TO ATTEND ALL 12 SATURDAYS THAT CLASS IS HELD in order to graduate from the course. Class size is kept small (approximately 12 students) to provide a lot of hands-on training and individualized attention. Our very personable and approachable instructors are both certified DA2s with DANB recognition and also licensed dental hygienists; they work during the week in a general dental office so are able to evaluate and teach what is most important to know in “real life dentistry.” When you graduate from this course you will have all of the necessary certificates to begin working immediately as an entry-level dental assistant in NC (Dental Radiography, OSHA and Infection Control, Medical Emergencies in the Dental Office, Dental Assisting 1, CPR for the Healthcare Provider). *In addition, you will also obtain a Nitrous Oxide Analgesia Monitoring certificate which is not required to begin work, but it is helpful and will make you more marketable. **THE COMPLETE COURSE FEE IS $3,230.00 AND COVERS EVERYTHING YOU WILL NEED FOR THE COURSE (INCLUDING TEXTBOOKS, HANDOUTS, EQUIPMENT, PENS, NOTEBOOKS, NAME PIN, EXAM FEES), OTHER THAN A PAIR OF SOLID (any color) SCRUBS.** Application fee of $65 is nonrefundable and is due online at the time you register. Payment of the $65 application fee DOES NOT mean that you are automatically enrolled in the course. You cannot schedule an interview/tour until we have notified you that we have received your registration form and $65 application fee. Upon acceptance into the program an additional $395 will be due at the informal interview/tour to reserve your seat in the course. Only after you have come for a tour/informal interview with the doctor/director and you are told at that time that you have been accepted will you be eligible to pay the $395 deposit that will hold your seat in the session. *The remaining balance can be split into two payments ($1,385 due around January 15th, 2020 and $1,385 due on the morning of the first day of class–March 7th, 2020). We do not charge you anything extra for this payment plan of $3,230 split into these 4 payments described above. An OFFICIAL HIGH SCHOOL TRANSCRIPT OR GED needs to be sent directly from your high school to our school by the first day of the course. This course is geared towards students with no dental experience. We look forward to meeting you!
