This is a 2-day course (7 hours lecture/7 hours clinical) that satisfies the requirements of the North Carolina State Board of Dental Examiners allowing graduates to legally take radiographs in a North Carolina clinical setting. You must attend both sessions to pass this course.

This class is designed for dental personnel with at least a year experience in the field and a familiarity with dental terminology and anatomy.

If you have more than two years experience (DA2), or are a Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or hold a dental radiography certificate from another state you may register for the single day Challenge Exam Course instead which includes the clinical proficiency and testing portion only. Registration for the challenge exam day is available on this website.

Please note that a student is not considered enrolled for the course unless full payment and proof of High School graduation or equivalency has been received.
