This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Dental Staff Institute (“DSI,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to:
dentalstaffinstitute.com (our main website and blog), and
classroom.dentalstaffinstitute.com (our course registration and learning platform, powered by LearnWorlds)
collectively, the “Site.” Where this policy describes something specific to course registration, enrollment, or payment, that activity takes place on our LearnWorlds-hosted classroom; LearnWorlds acts as our service provider/processor for that functionality, and their own security and platform practices also apply. This document is DSI’s policy for what we collect and do with your information across both properties.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly.
Contact form (dentalstaffinstitute.com): name, email address, and any message content you submit.
Course registration and account creation (classroom.dentalstaffinstitute.com): name, email address, phone number, job title/profession (e.g., dental assistant, hygienist, dentist, front office staff), mailing address, and — where relevant to a specific certification — date of birth.
Payment information: if you purchase a course, your payment is processed by Stripe through our LearnWorlds platform. We do not directly store your full credit/debit card number; Stripe handles and secures that information under its own privacy and security practices.
Course-related submissions: any materials you upload or submit as part of coursework, exams, or certification requirements.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we automatically collect certain technical information when you visit either domain, including your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device type, pages viewed, referring website, and general location (city/region level, inferred from IP address).
Cookies and similar technologies. We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to operate the Site, understand how visitors use it, and support our advertising efforts. See “Cookies and Tracking Technologies” below.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
Respond to inquiries submitted through our contact form
Register you for courses, administer your account, and issue certificates
Process payments for course enrollment
Communicate with you about your enrollment, courses, or certification status
Understand how visitors use the Site, so we can improve it
Measure the effectiveness of our advertising
Maintain the security and proper functioning of the Site
Comply with legal and regulatory obligations, including recordkeeping required by the state boards that approve our CE courses
We do not sell your personal information to third parties for money. Some state privacy laws define “sale” or “sharing” broadly enough to include certain advertising activities (see the Cookies section below) — see “Your Privacy Rights” for how to opt out of that.
3. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use the following third-party tools, each of which may place cookies or similar technologies on your device:
Google Analytics — helps us understand Site traffic and usage patterns.
Google Ads — helps us measure and improve the performance of our advertising campaigns, including remarketing/retargeting ads shown to prior visitors.
Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Pixel — helps us measure and improve the performance of our social media advertising campaigns.
These tools may collect information about your browsing behavior on our Site and, in some cases, other sites, in order to show you relevant ads. You can control cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of interest-based advertising through:

California residents: you may opt out of the “sharing” of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising (which includes tools like the Meta Pixel and Google Ads remarketing described above) by emailing us your request. See Section 9 for instructions and copy/paste text.
4. Embedded Content
Pages on this Site may include embedded content (such as videos). Embedded content from other websites behaves exactly as if you visited that other website directly, and that website may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content.
5. Third-Party Service Providers
We use third-party companies to help operate our Site and business, including:
Hosting provider — hosts and secures dentalstaffinstitute.com
LearnWorlds — course registration, enrollment, account management, and payment processing at classroom.dentalstaffinstitute.com
Stripe — processes payments on our behalf via LearnWorlds
Google Analytics / Google Ads — analytics and advertising, as described above
Meta — advertising, as described above
These providers may have access to certain information as needed to perform their functions, but are not authorized to use it for their own independent purposes beyond what’s necessary to provide their service to us (except as their own privacy policies describe, particularly for Google’s and Meta’s advertising products).
6. Data Retention
We retain contact form submissions for as long as needed to respond to your inquiry and for a reasonable period afterward for recordkeeping purposes. We retain course registration, enrollment, and certification records for as long as needed to administer your account and to satisfy recordkeeping obligations tied to state board approval of our courses, and for a reasonable period afterward. Analytics and advertising data is retained according to the retention settings of the respective third-party platforms (Google, Meta).
7. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the information we collect. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children’s Privacy
This Site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
9. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under applicable state privacy laws (such as the California Consumer Privacy Act/California Privacy Rights Act, and similar laws in other states) regarding your personal information, which may include the right to:
Know what personal information we have collected about you
Request deletion of your personal information
Correct inaccurate personal information
Opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information (which, under some state laws, can include certain advertising activities like the pixel-based tracking described above)

10. Accessing or Updating Your Account Information
If you have a course registration account on classroom.dentalstaffinstitute.com, you can view or update most of your account information directly by logging in. For anything you can’t update yourself, contact us and we’ll assist.
11. Do Not Track Signals
Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” setting, and some offer Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals. There is currently no industry-standard way to respond to Do Not Track, so our Site does not currently respond to it differently than to a regular visit. We currently process opt-out-of-sharing requests from California residents via the email process described in Section 9, rather than by automatically detecting GPC browser signals.
12. Business Transfers
If DSI is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We’ll provide notice before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
13. Links to Third-Party Websites
We have included links on this Site for your use and reference. We are not responsible for the privacy policies of these websites, which may differ from our own.
14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. This site is protected by reCAPTCHA and the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply.
