This is a single-day class on SATURDAY and it is designed for dental assistants who have already received a dental radiography certificate from another state or country and need a North Carolina dental radiography certificate to work in NC.  They will need to provide a copy of the out-of-state (or out-of-country) dental radiography certificate soon after they register for this course. THESE STUDENTS MUST ALREADY UNDERSTAND THE BASICS OF TAKING RADIOGRAPHS AND MUST HAVE WORKED WITH PATIENTS TAKING RADIOGRAPHS IN ANOTHER STATE/COUNTRY. These students DO NOT need to sit through a day of lecture. A written, multiple-choice exam that has been approved by the NC State Board of Dental Examiners will be given (textbook can be borrowed that morning to use for the test; there is no need to study beforehand). Also, a full-mouth series of radiographs (digital and film) will  be taken on a manikin. A North Carolina Dental Radiography certificate is given at the end of the day, upon successful completion of both the written and clinical tests.  Please note that a student is not considered enrolled for the class unless full payment has been received.
